Mother Goodrum's Homegoing Fund

On 8/8/20 at 2:28 am I had the God given privilege to hold the hand of the most wonderful person EVER in my life as she gently squeezed my hand while my uncle and I told her we loved her and Jesus loved her and she could rest now...one tear trickled down her left cheek as she looked at me and her eyes softly closed and her fast labored breathing slowed down...My grandmother Frances Mae Goodrum took her last breath and left my life to go home with Jesus after 5 weeks and 5 days in hospice care at her favorite place...home, with those that loved her just as she wanted... with 5 meaning grace and 8 meaning new beginnings, I know she is walking and smiling again with no pain. As God has released her from her 90 year old deteriorated body, she is now present with our Lord in beautiful love and spirit!!!...TO GOD BE ALL THE HONOR, GLORY, PRAISE, WORSHIP, AND PRAYERS!!!    We, her family are humbly asking for help with her final arrangements and expenses because her insurance of $750, 000, WILL NOT PAY OUT because unbenounced to her she was paying  FOR OVER 45 years on an "accident only" policy! She died of septicemia due to  gangrene in her toes that spread up her leg and because of her age, they would NOT operate! She had a stroke last Christmas and got stuck in  nursing home for six months because of the "current world virus" and it was not treated....      Mother Goodrum, a God loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother is survived by her four children; seven grandchildren; one grandson-in-law Van White; one great-grandson Emanuel Moultrie Jr.; her sister Daisy Knotts and family; and other loving family and friends.    From her passion of caring for others she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for nearly 40 years before retiring in 2006. She loved reading the Bible and praying as much as possible teaching her family to “lean on God.”  Mother Goodrum was quiet, and blessed with a beautiful heart, a wonderful personality, and a smile that could light any room which captivated many special people. The family would like to say thank you for all the support and prayers you have given to her and our family.     Please join us in the Celebration of her life and her homegoing to Jesus Christ also by reading her favorite scripture passage, Psalm 91.
