Mother and son tragically lost 3 months apart

Maria Dawn Kreismer was born in on May 9 of 1968. She was the oldest child in her family. Her siblings names were Wayne, Shane, Shannon, Jimmy, Nikki, and Billy. Maria was a loving mother, sister, Nana, and friend to many.

 

Maria had four loving children, three of whom that are deceased; Laura Young, Allen Shane Browning, Daniel, and Emily Lou. Laura Young was born in 1986 in Tennessee. She was known for her unique personality and ability to light up a room no matter where she was at. Unfortunately, Laura Young passed away and is buried in Pennington Gap, Virginia. Alan Shane Browning was the first born son in 1990 and lost his life at 12 days old due to complications with this health. Daniel was born in 2005 at only 25 weeks old. The doctors told Maria that Danielle would never have any quality of life. Daniel was tragically murdered on August 15, 2021 at 15 years old when a driver hit him in New Jersey and left the scene. So far, New Jersey police have yet to find who is responsible for Daniel’s murder. Emily Lou was born in 2006 making her the youngest child. Emily Lou was named after her grandmother Minnie and is currently attending high school as a freshman.

 

The investigation from Daniel‘s murder is still occurring. During that time of Daniel‘s death in New Jersey, Maria had two surgeries on her heart in North Carolina. The funeral homes arranged for Maria to be able to be present for Daniel‘s burial on October 10, 2021, the day after Maria was released from the rehab following her many weeks of recovery.

 

Maria was most known for how adamant she was about learning everything necessary to care for Daniel when he was sent home from the hospital as a baby. When Daniel was at home following his trachea breathing surgery, he had to rely on a ventilator. Maria did not want to be dependent on anyone to care for her son. She frequently would share with the visiting nurse is the proper way to care for him.

 

Following her two heart surgeries, Maria was sent home due to her gradual improvement with mobility. Maria A few weeks later started needing more help to get in and out of bed. When she couldn’t make it to dialysis appointments, no matter how much she tried, she went to the hospital. Shortly after her evaluation given by the doctors at the hospital, she was diagnosed as having VRE. VRE is An antibiotic resistant super bug which led to her passing on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 7:48 PM with her family by her side.

 

Both Daniel and Maria both passed away in a little more than three months time apart from each other. Frank feels like the emptiness sometimes feels unbearable. Emily, her daughter, and Emily‘s father Frank, are both taking the two deaths very hard. Frank was previously and over the road truck driver, however, he currently has to adjust his work schedule to be home every night with Emily. Maria‘s family wishes to bury her in Pennington Gap, Virginia so she could be buried next to her children. The family hopes to raise enough money for a funeral and burial. Any donations and prayers are greatly appreciated. More than the cost of the funeral is made, it will go to care of Emily for therapy, college, and other costs.

Frank (her father) is doing what he can to maintain his employment and be the loving father during the tragedies. Going from a family of 4 at home to a family has been devastating for Emily and Frank but as Frank said, ‘’ Emily is sad but she is strong’’.
