Morocco Earthquake Relief for Skoura, Ouarzazate

Donation protected
Hello, as you may know, a 6.8 magnitude earthquake (9/8) and a 4.0 aftershock (9/9) have hit Morocco and many of our families have been displaced. The damage caused by the earthquakes has left people stuck in rubble and their homes decimated. This fundraiser is specifically for the village of Skoura Ouarzazate. Much of the aid has not yet reached them as the roads in the Atlas mountains have yet to be cleared. We are fundraising money to go to the direct rebuilding of these destroyed homes and hope you contribute to this effort.

Hello, my name is Wallid Soukaki. As many of you have heard a devastating earthquake had hit Morocco on September 8th, and I am trying to raise money for my family and their village. My grandmother resides in the outskirts of Ouarzazate, where national aid has not reached them yet due to the remote nature of the Atlas Mountains. The earthquake had caused severe damage to most of the homes making them uninhabitable for the time being and the proceeds raised will directly go to the rebuilding efforts. Any donations to help rebuild my grandmother’s village would be greatly appreciated.

These funds collected will be sent to Morocco via Moneygram with my uncle (Mohammed Zahid) as the recipient who will be in charge of dispersing these funds. He will, with the help of my grandmother, go door to door to families who are camped outside due to the uninhabitable nature of their homes and give them a share of this fundraiser. These funds will be given on the basis of solely building repair.
