MORE THAN I CAN BEAR

Donation protected
My dear friends and family, I need your support, and, although it feels super embarrassing and awkward asking for it, I need to swallow my pride and accept that I can’t do this alone. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for not passing judgement. I appreciate you taking the time to read this, and there will be no judgement from me if you are unable to help.

January 2nd I came to Saskatchewan for a week-long visit. Towards the end of that visit it got down to -49 degrees with the wind chill. I decided to hold out a few more days for the cold snap to break and ended up completely blowing out my already problematic knee (you will be shocked to know it was not from the jig). After consulting with my Ortho specialist back home, I went to emergency in Saskatoon as advised, and was told that I needed to have my surgery immediately: in Saskatchewan.

On January 18th I had what was to be routine knee surgery. Nothing has been routine since then. From a bad drug interaction during surgery, later causing my blood to stop pumping correctly that led to oxygen being cut off from my brain causing seizure-like symptoms, leading to a fall, which in turn led to torn ligaments in the calf below the affected knee...

Things are not ok and have progressively worsened. I’m hoping to be out of the red soon.

I have faith that I will survive this traumatic situation.

However, I am not surviving financially.

Medication costs and living isn’t free. I will be laid up for approximately 3 months, unfortunately. Your gift will ensure that the the things I have worked so hard for will not be lost and that my basic living needs are met. I am not allowed to travel back to BC for at least a month. As some of my friends know things have been tight already due to my Complex Dissociative PTSD diagnoses a year ago. Most of you will know my strong work ethic and how hard I work to not be in this situation. Unfortunately, due to my CD PTSD, I haven’t been able to work for a year. When I was of able body I would use my skills to find things I could do and/or make from my home such as haircuts, pies, and dream catchers. I would designate drive for my friends occasionally. If that still wasn’t enough I would sell some of my stuff.

Please, if are you are able to help in the smallest way, I would be forever grateful. I promise to send a personal letter of thanks to everyone who is able to donate, to remind you of how grateful I am for your act of kindness.
