More Healing...

Hello Beautiful People,

I know it has been a while since you have heard from me and I miss you.
So here is what’s been going on…

Remember when I went to the hospital last year for something that should have been a small thing that was “no big deal”?  Well, it turned into a really big deal, really quickly.

The cancer came back!

Very aggressively.

Spread to my lungs, bones, lymph nodes and brain.

To say it was a hard time, would be a severe understatement.  It was a mess!

I immediately went into weekly chemo sessions, weekly thoracentesis procedures, whole brain radiation and more.

And you know me... I went in.

I had to go to that place of healing. Of trying to survive. For me. For my husband. For my boys. For my friends and family.  100% focus on living to see another day.

And slowly, but surely, day after day, it got better.  I got better.

Every morning, early dawn, I would wake to the sounds of birds singing. The sound of their song infused me with the most profound sense of gratitude that I am still alive.  I made it one more day. The miracle of opening my eyes every morning is not lost on me. It is the most glorious part of my day. I spend that time in meditation and bask in the warmth of the sun as it streams through my window.

Please know, that I am good.  Not great, but out of danger and getting better as the days go by.

At this point, because it is now metastatic breast cancer (MBC), I will be on some sort of treatment for the rest of my life.  I am off chemo now and on a maintenance treatment via IV every 3 weeks. I am grateful for the amazing health team I have, from the doctors and conventional medicine to the integrative and alternative therapies.

Going through this, while trying to maintain my strength and dignity has at times been challenging.  I want to see myself as healthy and whole, living my life full of peace, love, happiness and grace. Please hold that image of me in your minds and hearts.

And if you are thinking of me, and feel moved to support financially, please know that I am so grateful, and humbled by your generosity.

Any support is welcome and extremely appreciated.

In an effort to infuse my life with creativity, positive focus and serene purpose, I have been experimenting with making candles.  If you donate $50 or more and would like a candle, please Private Message me your address. I would love to send a gift :)

Please share this!!!

Not just for the fundraising support, but to connect.  You never know who is reading on the other end. I have been through a lot, tried a lot, and know a lot. I'm here to help.

Times like this, Thank You feels to small.  But it is what is said, so I will say it with my whole heart.

THANK YOU!

With love,

Danette (&family)
