Moose's Surgery Fund

Last Monday, Moose didn't really want to walk and was showing some signs of pain, so we went straight to the vet. We got sent home with antiinflammatories and muscle relaxants.
Last Tuesday, I got home from work and Moose couldn't get his back legs out of his crate. He had completely lost the function in his back legs. He couldn't walk, or stand and had lost control of his bladder. I took him straight to emergency.
On Wedensday he went in for surgery where he was diagnosed with IVDD.
The disks in the spine are filled withof a jelly which help absorb impact and help with mobility of the spine. One of these disks had completely calcified, and eventually herniated into his spinal cord putting pressure on his nerves. This resulted in paralysis, and why Moose wasn't able to walk.
He was discharged today (Monday), and things are looking up. He has more strength in his legs, and the vet said in a couple weeks he should be back to normal. So the surgery was a success! Because of how large the herniation was, the vet said that if we had tried to heel it on our own with crate rest, he would not have recovered. But with odds of 60% to 95% recovery before the surgery was even done, being only 4 years old, crate rest was not an option, and I chose surgery because of how much of his life he had left to live.
The surgery and final vet bill came to $7000, and I do have pet insurance but it only will cover maximum $2500. I am unfortuneately not able to take a third job to cover the remainder of the vet bill, so I am turning to you for help. Even the littlest amount will go a long way, and both Moose and myself will be forever grateful if you are able to help make his vet bill a little bit more affordable for our tiny family.
