Second Chances for Feral Cats - Moon’s Mission
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Emma, and I’m caring for a large feral cat colony in the mountains of Western North Carolina. These cats face many challenges, especially now during the harsh winter, and I’m working hard to ensure they have a chance at a better life.
Right now, there’s an urgent need to prevent unplanned litters and provide these cats with food, shelter, and veterinary care. Unfortunately, many local low-cost spay and neuter clinics are closed, were destroyed by Hurricane Helene, or are unable to accept feral cats - making it even harder to control the population.
Your support will directly help with:
• Spay/neuter surgeries (TNR) to reduce the number of homeless cats and kittens.
• Veterinary care for sick or injured colony members.
• Food and warm shelters to protect them during harsh weather.
• Supplies and humane equipment to safely care for and manage the colony.
This mission began with a special feral cat named Moon, who inspired me to take action after Hurricane Helene. Though Moon is no longer with us, her resilience and spirit continue to guide my efforts. My ultimate hope is to give these cats a second chance - not only by keeping them safe, but by helping as many as possible transition into loving forever homes. With time, care, and the support of people like you, I believe many of these cats can be socialized and adopted into families who will cherish them.
Moon’s Mission is about giving feral cats the care, compassion, and opportunities they deserve. Thank you for being part of their journey toward brighter futures!
