Monica Arteaga recovery fund

On September 25, 2017, Monica gave birth to our daughter Danika, three days later we got released from the hospital to go home. This is Danika

On October 4, 2017, Monica got sick had a seizure at home, she was transferred to Mission hospital by ambulance, while she was at the hospital they told us that she needed to go to DHR Hospital due to them not having a Neurological Department.
Monica was then transferred to DHR Hospital and they did a cat scan test on her head which they found a hemorrhage on her right side of her brain further tests were done on Monica and she was diagnosed with Postpartum Angiopathy(simple words a STROKE).
The next step from here is an intense couple of weeks of stroke therapy at an inpatient facility followed by an extended stay in a professional nursing facility where she will continue therapy until she gets to come home. We have a very long road ahead of us but Monica has an AMAZING group of friends and family that care so very much for her

Monica is still on recovery at the DHR Rehab Hospital. Monica is fighting hard for a speedy recovery so she can go back to her two boys Dominik, Derek and our new addition to the family Danika.
