Hello, I'm Colette Marcellene Ether, Founder of Mommy Jerk Media. I am raising funds to develop and launch an online learning platform, Mommy Jerk Academy. To kickoff this endeavor,  we a hosting an Essay and Pitch Competition.

Our Essay and Pitch Competition is now OPEN for SUBMISSIONS

WE NEED YOUR HELP

We invite individuals and organizations to sponsor this project to help us further our mission and award upcoming innovators, entrepreneurs, and future leaders to help accelerate their journey on their path to success.

By sponsoring our program to help us reach our fundraising goals, you or your organization are not only contributing to social good, but also creating an excellent opportunity to meet promising early-stage female founders!

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

Our aim is to raise funds to develop an online learning platform , supportive community, provide ongoing valuable training and mentorships, in addition to prize packages for eligible winners to help them start or grow their business.

Beyond the competition, community,  and platform, funds will also be used for working capital, additional equipment for production, operating expenses, program development, and women owned business certification.

OUR VALUES

Equitable and Humble

Inclusive and Diverse

Empathetic and Accountable

OUR MISSION

To empower and help grow female-founded and diverse startups by offering tools and support to establish new businesses, stabilize existing companies, generate sustainable profits, strategize for future growth, and contribute to the growth and economic development of their respective communities.

No one makes it to the top alone.

Accelerators step on the gas, connect you to critical resources, give you mentorship, and help you better understand how to make your business effective and profitable.

Incubators give you a safe place to nurture your startup at the critical and vulnerable early stages.

Visibility, addressing unconscious bias, and role model encouragement for even more women to start their own business are all important means to create social change.

In a recent article in the US Chamber of Commerce, more women than ever are starting and leading businesses. But female entrepreneurs still face some unique challenges.

Women bring cutting edge innovation to the start-up scene and they are also more likely to re-invest their profit into society.

The National Association of Women Business Owners (or NAWBO) reports that there are currently more than 11.6 million U.S. firms owned by women, which employ nearly 9 million people and generate $1.7 trillion in sales.

These numbers represent a nearly 60% increase in women-owned businesses since 2007 — as well as a larger societal trend in confidence among professional women.

Sadly, less than 3% of VC capital goes to female-founded startups.

The pandemic has stifled business growth and networking opportunities. Crowdfunding is critical to help us reach our business goals, and continue to help women business owners --just like me!

The deadline for sponsorship:

Fundraising sponsorships close on February 25, at 11:59 pm EST

We are thrilled at the opportunity to expand our reach and help women reach their potential. We appreciate every gesture of support.

Thank you,
