Hello friends & families of Momentum- I hope everyone is well and safe and hopefully not going too crazy with kids at home. If you're still out working, thank you. If you're a healthcare worker, thank you-From the bottom of my heart. I know this has been extremely hard on everyone and will continue to be over the coming weeks.
As you all know, Momentum closed it doors on 3/19/2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreak and has decided to remain closed for the safety of everyone involved. I know this decision wasn't easy to make and is going to be reassessed at different time intervals.
Momentum has been an incredibly important part of our family for 5.5 years. I remember the first time we toured the facility, we immediately knew it was where our children belonged. During these past 5+ years, we have gotten to know the staff members extremely well. There isn't a single teacher there that we have been unhappy with and haven't loved as our own family member.
As well all know this outbreak is forcing many small businesses to close for unforeseen periods of time and Momentum is no different.
This has been weighing heavily on my heart since the beginning of this outbreak and I decided that I could no longer sit idly by while our teachers have recently been laid off due to the closure of our Sussex center. I'm working on organizing donations for our teachers to help support them during this chaotic and scary time.
They will not be getting paid during this closure and many will have to file for unemployment. Just like us, they still have bills to pay. Rent, Mortgage payments, groceries, health insurance- for them and their families.
Let's rally to support our teachers more than ever right now as they have supported our families for the past however many months/years that we've been a part of Momentum.
