Edit: once the driver who fled the scene is found, there will be legal action taken. You do not hit a whole human with 2 children who are now trumatized get out of the car to blame her and tell at her and focus on nothing but themselves and flee! If these people stayed on scene they would not have faced as much trouble as they are in now. We will find you and justice will be served!
Hi everyone my name is Heather Davidson I am friends with Tabatha Vassey. This GoFundMe is for her. On October 31 2022 a little before 7pm while taking 2 out of her 3 son's trick or treating, she was walking with her 7yr old and 3yr old down West Park Ave and Lafayette Ave when out of nowhere a Jeep Liberty struck Tabatha and the driver proceeded to get out the car and was slurring her words that she was late picking up her children to trick or treat. Her passenger got out of the car and yelled at Tabatha blaming her for them hitting her and they got in their car and sped off. According to witnesses the jeep was either a dark gray or dark Navy. Tabatha was transported to RWJ Hamilton and the sweet officers continued to finish taking the kids trick or treating before returning them to their maternal grandmother. We are looking for witnesses, to help us identify the driver or know any information that could help the police. Tabatha has been in touch with a news reporter to help the search with the police officer and get the word out
As she's home recovering, she will not be able to make money for her and her kids, and soon medical bills will start to pile up and ambulance bills, catscans, x-rays, whatever else will soon need to be done appointment wise for her so we are asking for anything even a dollar, prayers, shares, anything will help.
Her children are shooken up but will be ok.
