a Firefighter in need!
Hi everyone, please allow me the opportunity to introduce you to Molly Visser. Dedicated Firefighter, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.
At the age of 18 she convinced her father to join the volunteer fire department, so she could join also. Molly has since become a Captain with Cal Fire and is in her 17th year of service.
Her commitment to protect and assist the people of the state of California is admirable, as is her long-term commitment towards the “Fill the Boot” campaign to benefit Muscular Dystrophy; which she has actively been a part of for many years.
She is a person who has dedicated her life to the service of others, and is a beacon to those of us who know and love her.
Recently Molly went on a well-deserved vacation. She was on Holiday in Norway with her cousin, when her trip went from wonderful to life threatening. June 27th at 2 am she was rushed the hospital, where doctors discovered a brain Aneurysm.
Molly in Norway the day before:
Immediately her mother flew to Oslo to be at her side. Surgery was required and team of specialists operated on her to repair the damage. She will be undergoing a full CT scan on July 27th in a hope that she has healed enough to fly home with her mother to continue her recovery.
The doctors are insisting that she be accompanied by a nurse trained specifically to assist with her condition on the flight home. Her parents are both retired, and the medical support needed for Molly are extremely expensive and not fully covered by insurance.
Molly has always stepped out in front to help people she doesn’t even know, willing to put herself in harm’s way because she could. Now our Molly needs someone to step up for her and her family.
Please help us get Molly and her mom home. We are asking anyone who can help, to step up for a local hero, and assist with her recovery. We all heal better at home, surrounded by loved ones, in a place we feel safe. All donations are appreciated and gratefully accepted.
