Molly Monarch's Medical Fundraiser

Molly became a new mom when her daughter, Ava Lynn Monarch, was born on March 24th, 2020. Approximately 3 months into breast feeding, Molly started to experience what she was told was most likely clogged ducts. After a while of attempting to clear the duct, her OB decided to do an ultrasound to identify the problem. There was no evidence of a milk blockage and so a biopsy was scheduled. In the middle of July, Molly was diagnosed with Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma at 31 years old as a new mom with a baby 4 months old.  The Kadlec medical professionals rushed into action to diagnose, develop a plan, and execute the fight against this aggressive form of cancer. Within 2 weeks of the diagnosis, Molly started chemotherapy and is working directly with teams at the Tri Cities Cancer Center and at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance to get the best possible outcome. She's looking at around a year minimum of treatments, starting with chemo, then surgery, and finally, radiation. She has been staged at 3C, meaning the cancer is aggressive and attempting to spread, so the first goal of any treatment is to attack the cancer with everything the medical team can.  She's responding to chemo well so far.
