Help Moira Bonell recover

My mother (Moira Bonell), was on a well deserved vacation to Hawaii. A few days into her trip, she fell and broke her leg. Her leg is shattered and hardly being held together (trying to save you from the gruesome detail)  and is now stuck in the Hawaiin hospital until they think it is safe to send her home. This could take up to four weeks or longer for her to finally come home to Canada where health care is free.  (Her insurance is covering the costs of being down there and getting her home safely. Read next paragraph for what we need!)

My family is not usually one to ask for donations, but in a time like this we are desperate. My mom is the only one who works in the household, while my dad is on long term disability. So money is extra tight on what we now need to buy.  While we wait for my mother’s return home we now have to prepare for her as she will need to be in a wheelchair for a long time. 

We are asking for your help so we are able to afford the things to make her as comfortable as she can be when she returns. This includes buying; a wheelchair, a reclinable/electric  bed, and a ramp that needs to now be built at their house. 

It truly breaks my heart that this had to happen to my mom, if you know her, you would know she always puts everyone and her family ahead of her needs. She truly deserves the world. Please help Moira recover. 

****Please note: this is not for funds to get her home. Insurance is covering that and we don’t want to interfere with that! BUT we do need to build a ramp and get the things insurance won’t cover ready for when she does come home.
