Moffatt Family Fundraiser

.    We are 8th Grade students at Dubois Middle School and we have a classmate with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy which causes progressive muscle degeneration and weakness. The weakness leads to difficulty in walking, rising from the floor or chair, raising of the arms and maintaining balance. He is in need of renovations in his home and transportation to accommodate his needs. We are having a fundraiser. Justyn is our classmate and we have grown up with him. Our classmates want to see the full potential that he has and make him as mobile as possible.

     Justyn is a very smart, humble, and witty kid. Justyn enjoys playing on his iPad and he plays Yu-Gi-Oh! at lunch with his friends. He never uses his disability as an excuse for anything, it’s like it’s there but he will never acknowledge it. We want to help him be able to interact with the rest of his classmates.

     He is confined to his wheelchair and gets up only at home (where he has no access to a wheelchair). Justyn lives with his Grandfather, and his home needs to have renovations to make his home up to code for a wheelchair. His only means of transportation is on a bus during the weekdays going to and from school. If you could, it would be greatly appreciated if you could help him out.
