Models For the Kids of Sandy Bay

My name is John McElwain, and I live in Hamilton, Ontario. I recently saw a post on FB by a teacher named Scott MacPhee, in Sandy Bay, Saskatchewan. He wants to start a plastic modelling group on the Cree indigenous reserve. It will help to engage kids, open up their world horizons, and help them stay in school. Years ago, as a bush pilot, I was based at a reserve near Sandy Bay, and I know how tough the kids there have it. We have mobilized modellers in the GTA, and as far away as Texas, to donate kits and tools. My son and I are going to deliver a carload of stuff on 8 Oct. I'm hoping that people will help us with gas and accommodation costs, which will be around $2000. Anything over that will be donated to the Covenant House, to help homeless kids.
