Zac a little Aussie battler
In July 2012 Zac was three years old when he was diagnosed with Mellulloblastoma a very aggressive form of brain cancer, against all odds he fought and won the battle for his life.
His treatment which included two brain surgeries, seven rounds of chemo, three with stem cell support and nearly seven weeks of radiation on his brain and spine.
He has been left with cognitive and physical developmental delays which will last for a life time. His mum has given up work to be his full time carer.
Then 2020, a year that has been hard for many, dealt an extra blow to Zac and his family when in August, in the middle of hard lock down in Melbourne Zac suffered from a stroke. After another 85 days in isolation in the hospital Zac and his mum have just returned home to the relief of his Dad and sister.
The stoke however has added to Zac's existing difficulties and he now requires a wheelchair and rehabilitation for the foreseeable future.
To enable to Zac to travel to medical appointments, visit friends and family and generally get around he will need to use mobility car with wheel chair access.
A second hand three year old wheel chair mobility car is just less than $70,000.
We hope to be able to raise much need funds to be able Zac's family to take him to his much needed appointments and to school when he is ready to return.
Zac's and his proud family have faced battle after battle and have never asked for help, rather they have raised funds for brain cancer and other related charities to assist others.
We, Zac's extended family and friends are trying to find a way to help and we hope the mobility car will help Zac and his family in more ways that they can imagine.
We hope you are able to help us raise sufficient funds to help Zac and his wonderful family with the mobility car they need.
We are hoping to raise the funds by end of January 2021 to allow Zac and his family to be less isolated and more mobile.
