B!'s Top Surgery

Hello all! My name is B! I'm 18 years old and identify as genderqueer (non-binary). Gender affirming top surgery is a goal I've actively been working towards for going on three years. It's always been something I knew I needed. Growing up in a body that feels foreign to you is a hard concept to wrap your head around, and has been an ongoing process for me, but this is something I'm certain of. For a long time it seemed like surgery was an unattainable goal. Being $8,100 dollars, it's hardly something that a high schooler working part time can afford. Fortunately for me, my insurance coverage drops that price to around $2,500. Now I'm just looking to close the gap between the money I've saved from working and the final cost.

Back in March I went for a consultation with Dr. Russel Sassani, and scheduled a surgery date for the 19th of June. Coming this fall I'll be living in a new state and starting a whole new chapter of my life: I'm eager to do so in a body that feels like my own. It'll be a great weight off my chest (ha) to move forward into adulthood without having to continually hide this part of myself. 

But what's in it for you? Besides the spectacular feeling of knowing you contributed to my overall comfort, wellbeing, and success in life, I will send you some art.
