Cancer medical bills

My husband keith and I raised seven children in Borger in Pampa Texas. I worked for many years as a substitute teacher in Pampa and have worked with Avon many years. Keith was a pipeline pilot,photographer and pastor at the foursquare church. I am not used to asking for money,we usually live off our Social Security. God was faithful to hear my breast cancer in 2016. I did undergo chemotherapy surgery and then radiation. In the process I guess my bones were destroyed and I now have metastatic breast cancer which means the cancer has moved to my bones. I had emergency surgery in February for a broken hip full of cancer. My problem lies in that Medicaid is refusing to cover February bills and mortgage bills although I was in their office in February. They finally kicked in and April. However that leaves nearly $4000 in bills and nothing to cover it.I little house on Lefors Street is paid for, our car is paid for. We have always been self-sufficient but I'm feeling pretty desperate. I need surgery on my left shoulder that I destroyed using a walker not knowing my hip was broken. It is a fairly simple surgery covered by Medicare and Medicaid. However the orthopedic surgeon doesn't want to do the surgery unless the past bills are paid. It wouldn't be important except I'm in constant painand I have a little movement in that shoulder. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Nobody seems to want to help with Dr. bills. They would make a car payment they would pay my mortgage but I have none of that. I just need help to cover those medical bills.
