MMY's campaign for Z- ARTS

Manchester Musical Youth (MMY) are raising money in aid of Z- ARTS CENTRE, the theatre we call home,  and every donation will help.

The COVID 19 pandemic brought to a sudden halt all of the wonderful theatre activities that we had going on at MMY - including the postponement of four shows. We have been determined to continue to provide a high-quality experience for our young people online and have created our own BRAND NEW musical : 'Medusa' based on the ancient Greek myth told in a whole new light, written and composed by our director Dave Holden.

COVID 19 has hit us and all theatres and theatre groups hard, with still no certainty of when we can perform again. We are not charging people to watch the show but we are raising funds for our theatre home, Z-arts, to keep this venue alive for future generations of young performers, and so that we have a home to return to. 

Our members have been working hard - rehearsing online, learning harmonies at home and even doing some some socially distanced filming in recent weeks in accordance with government guidelines (thanks to Cadishead Band Room for allowing us to use your facilities) and we can't wait to share with you one of our most exciting projects yet. This exclusive preview will be our first home-made performance, complete with home-made make-up, costume, props and even green screen technology.
