While most people agree that education is important, it is an option in impoverished countries like Kingston, Jamaica. The lack of basic school supplies can prevent many children the opportunity to an education. These things include hair clips, socks and shoes, textbooks, stationary and uniforms, which are expenditures to poor families who cannot afford living necessities, let alone any extras.

My mission is to provide every child living in Kingston, Jamaica with free school supplies, so that they can learn and succeed in the classroom. Obtaining school supplies can make a difference in the future of children living in poverty. Basic school supplies help students engage in classroom lessons, and as they gain knowledge they can bring back to their communities. Developing literacy can break the cycle of poverty – and, I truly believe that a community that can learn is a community that can control its future.

“Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today.” – Malcolm X

You can build a better future for underprivileged children living in Kingston, Jamaica by donating. Please remember that every donation makes a difference, regardless of size.
