Help Jennie Fight Brain Cancer

"All heart" may be the words most often heard when describing the beautiful, vivacious, Jennie Andersen. Jennie is, and always will be, a teacher, a sister, a daughter, a friend, and a "fur mommy" to Vinnie and Leo.
Jennie has been fighting brain cancer since January 2010 with 2 surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, and her own fiesty, radiant personality. Through all of this, Jennie has worked full time at Canyon Oaks Elementary in American Canyon. She has spent years spreading her teaching, leadership, and love for children to over 500 students in Napa County. This earned her a nomination for Napa Valley Education Foundation Teacher of the Year in 2011.
This spring, with a heavy heart, Jennie had to leave her class and school behind when the tumor began to spread and impact her ability to speak, walk, and coordinate movements. Jennie continues to fight the good fight with immunotherapy treatments, speech and physcial therapy.
Those who have known Jennie, or seen her in action in the classroom, can see that she has poured her heart and soul into each child she has taught. She gives her all to friends and family, and continually puts others needs in front of her own. Now is the time to show how much her unending love and support has meant to us.
Jennie is in need of help while she is not working to cover medical and living expenses. Thank you so much for your support. Please help spread the word by sharing this with friends, family, and the teaching community.
