Nickles for Nora

Hi, I am Lacey, the mother of Noralai Pigue, we call her Nora for short. I am here to share my story of her in hopes of raising money to go toward the needs she requires from day to day. Nora is 3 years old. She suffers from HIE (Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy), Epilepsy, Microcephaly, Metapic Synostosis Trigonocephalic, Hypotonia (CP), Developemental delays, Laryngotracheomalacia, Laryngomalacia, Coritical visual Impairment and Nystagmus. During my delivery at some point she was deprived of oxygen, resulting in a scattered brain injury. She has multiple seizures daily. We have tried countless numbers of medications, the ketogenic diet and had a right frontal lobe resection to remove the area of her brain where her seizures originated from. Unfortunately, after that area was removed, her seizures spread to another part of her brain. Before the resection she had 50-80 seizures a day; she now has 5-30 a day depending how her days go, if she is stressed or sick. We have currently recieved a new diagnosis, Larygotracheomalacia and Larygomalacia. Which is basically a small, floppy airway as a result from her brain injury and hypotonia. This makes it difficult at times for her breathe, making a sound known as Stridor. Last week we started home oxygen, just given as needed to when her O2 drops and she needs the extra help. Another shock was to find out she is also no longer to eat by mouth due to aspiration. She recently had a gtube (feeding tube) placement in December 2014. It seems to be one adventure after the other...
Nora has private insurace. We are not eligible for state insurance or SSI, I have applied mutlple times believe me. Everything we pay is out of pocket. We owe thousands and thousands of dollars in medical bills and that will never stop.. I am a stay at home mom, we live off one income. Nora gets outpatient PT, OT and Speech, which we also have to pay out of pocket for...  We want the best for our Nora so she can reach her fullest potential, along with lowering the burdon of medical expenses on us.
