Anyone who has been in stride with me the last 2 years knows what yoga has done for me, if not....let me share my story.
June 2012 I watched my life fall apart all around me. The word divorce became something real to me, and the battle that no mother should ever have to face was a losing one. In the midst of my family falling apart I was also facing another reoccurring giant in my life.
The giant's name was addiction. This wasn't the first time that I was faced with the reality that I was powerless, and my life had become unmanageable.
July 29th 2012 I made the decision to start living one day at a time. 90 meetings in 90 days was a understatment.
In recovery's past I didn't enlarge my spiritual growth and became stagnant. What made this recovery journey different was practicing yoga enlightened my spiritual growth.
Providing for my daughter as well as myself doesn't leave us much extra funds, therefore I am being more vulnerable that I have ever been in asking for your help.
Yoga Teacher Training Program (YTT) Will deepen and strengthen my practice. Give me knowledge and history on the practice of yoga. Share my knowledge and inspiration with the recovery community. Ultimately allow a more peaceful, loving environment for my daughter and I.
