Mom’s Celebration of Life

Donation protected
Our mother passed away and we are in desperate need of any help. Please help us. After decades of a struggling heroin addiction, our mom, Meghan Jeannette Duncan passed on April 30th, 2019 in the UMC ER, surrounded by strangers.  In many ways we lost her 15-20 years ago, when she made her decision to not return home.  We remember our beautiful, kind, generous, funny mom, she wasn’t always addicted to Heroin.   Her love for her children, music and road trips were a couple of my favorite things about her.  Always singing and dancing, and a foodie for sure! I’m also 100% sure we inherited our love for animals from her. But her troubled past led to this torturing addiction.  We all tried to get her back, but she refused to return to us -- even if it meant sleeping on the streets.  She lived her recent years without her family on the streets, in cars, churches, floors of hospitals, cement sidewalks, cardboard boxes, under freeways, you name it. My mom chose to live this life and we will forever be heartbroken that she lost the battle to addiction at 43 years old. But we will always remember your light and energy, as a young caring mother of 3.

We are one proud family and do not like asking for money or help.  My sisters and I consisting of: a single mother, a starving student, and a recently unemployed sister. Our father has been helping in any way he can but he has sacrificed all he has.

We have explored all other avenues to seek the financial means to pay for our mother’s services, but bills are piling up and we are so heartbroken.  We are turning to family and friends to help us in our time of need.  Please help even if it’s just a bit.  Every little bit helps.  We are in Need As Soon As Possible. Please help.  We are eternally grateful for your kindness and generosity.

Mom we love you and the memory of you shall never pass away! You are everywhere now!
