The first of its kind, Imam Al-Hujjah Charitable Hospital not only stands out as an institution aiming for international standards but had centralized the less fortunate at its focal point; ensuring those who need the medical aid but don’t have the means for it as a top priority for its care provision. For the first time in the history of Iraq does a project like this launch. The first stage of the hospital had opened on May 23rd with its General Walk in Clinic, Radiology, Laboratory, and Pharmacy. The outpatient departments have also opened this month including the Obstetrics and Gynecology and Pediatrics Departments. Currently, we are awaiting the opening of ophthalmology and endoscopy units.
This is only the first stage though.
IHH falls within the benevolent charitable projects of the Development and Relief Foundation (DRF) which is listed as a non-governmental organization in the NGO directorate of the General Secretariat for Council of Ministers, Republic of Iraq, in affiliation with DRF – USA, which is registered in the US as a charitable non-profit tax exempt organization under the article 501 (c) of the IRS.
Due to the lack of medical services related to the past international blockade and the compounded current perilous political and security condition around the city of Karbala, this geographic area has been deprived from an adequate number of health centers and hospitals. Therefore, the project of IHH has started a charitable venture to assist the local authorities in providing a well-integrated healthcare system to 1.5 million citizens and millions of visitors alike. Therefore, the hospital is considered one of the most vital services in the city of Karbala.
One of the main objectives of the hospital is to establish a strong Catheterization Lab Unit alongside the most advanced equipment in addition to recruiting the most qualified of staff to assist us in making our dream come true, and that is to truly serve the people.
However, we need your help.
A cath lab is an area of the hospital that uses fluoroscopy and contrast dye to check for narrowing/blockages in arteries or veins in the body. Using special equipment, they are able to perform angioplasty (open the arteries with a balloon), place stents, insert IVC filters (a filter that is inserted into a large vein which prevents blood clots that form in the leg from getting to the lungs) as well as inserting pacemakers/ICDs. ICDs are Implantable Cardiac Defibrillators. They detect if a patient’s heart goes into a lethal rhythm and provides a shock to the heart if necessary to get it beating correctly again.
In order to truly equip and establish such a department and have optimal confidence in its quality, we need you.
We need to raise $1.5M in order that Imam Al-Hujjah Charitable Hospital can make a positive difference in the lives of those who need it most.

مستشفى الامام الحجة (عج) اول مشروع من نوعه يظهر في العراق ينهض بهذه المسؤولية.
لقد تم بحمد الله افتاح المرحلة الاولى من هذا المشروع في الثالث والعشرين من مايو سنة 2017 وتضمن العيادات العامة وقسم التصوير الشعاعي والمختبر والصيدلية اضافة الى العيادات النسائية والولادة والاطفال والتي افتتح مؤخرا.
حاليا نترقب بأذن الله تعالى افتتاح قسم العيون والناظور في القريب العاجل لأكمال المرحلة الاولى.
مستشفى الامام الحجة (عج) هو احد المشاريع الجبارة لمؤسسة الاغاثة والتنمية والتي تعتبر من المنظمات غير الحكومية في الامانة العامة لمجلس وزراء جمهورية العراق وكذلك لها فرع مسجل في الولايات المتحدة الامريكية كمنظمة خيرية غير ربحية معفاة من الضرائب بموجب المادة

وبسبب النقص الحاد في الخدمات الطبية الذي سببه الحصار الذي كان على العراق في مدينة كربلاء المقدسة وكذلك بسبب الاوضاع الامنية التي يمر بها البلد حاليا.
ابتدأ مستشفى الامام الحجة (عج) الخيري كمشروع خيري لاعانة الجهات المحلية في توفير نظام صحي متكامل لملايين الزوار والمليون ونصف مليون مواطن في كربلاء المقدسة
ومن أهم اهداف المستشفى الخيري هو تأسيس وحدة قسطرة القلب بأحدث الاجهزة الطبية و توظيف طاقم كامل من الاطباء والممرضين الاكفاء. ولتحقيق هذا الحلم العظيم نحن بحاجة الى مساعدة الاخيار في هذا المجال.
كما أن وحدة القسطرة هي جانب من جوانب المشروع الطبي الذي يستخدم جهاز الفلوروسكوبي والتلوين الشعاعي للتحقق من أي انسداد او تضييق في الأوردة والشرايين. ومع استخدام هذه الاجهزة نستطيع اجراء عمليات القسطرة لفتح الشرايين ووضع الدعامات وادخال فيلتر للوريد لمنع تخثر الدم في الرئتين اضافة الى تركيب جهاز تنظيم ضربات القلب. يقوم هذا الجهاز بتنظيم ضربات القلب ويرسل اشارات كهربائية صغيرة وغير مؤلمة الى البطين الايمن من القلب لبدء كل ضربة من ضربات القلب فقط عند الحاجة.
ولكي نستطيع ان نجهز المشروع بهذا التجهيز مع الثقة الكاملة بجودة العمل نحن بحاجة الى وقوفكم معنا ومد يد العون في هذا المشروع.
علينا ان نجمع مليون ونصف دولار أمريكي (مليون1.5 $) حتى نتمكن من تحقيق هذا الهدف الايجابي في حياة المرضى والذين هم بأمس الحاجة اليه ولكي نزرع بذرة الأمل في قلوبهم.
