Mitzi's Medical Fund

Hi everyone - 
Our loveable Aunt Mitz has been there for most of us a time or two and now we're raising money for her to help with medical costs for chronic illness that is wreaking havoc on her body. We need to raise $7,000 in order for her to see a specialist and get treatment in the UK. Every little bit counts! 

Mitzi's current health problems are a direct result of Ehler Danlos syndrome (a connected tissue disorder that affects skin, joints and blood vessel walls) and Mast Cell activation syndrome (a histamine disorder that throws your body into chaos, literally). In addition to those disorders, Mitzi has had her thyroid and gall bladder removed and more than 19 surgeries on her back, knees, etc. Currently, she can't absorb medicine or nutrients in her small intestine that is causing all sorts of issues with her body.
 
Current symptoms include vibrating nerves (that can't be fun), massive skin peeling (and bleeding), hyperthyroid issues from the medicine not working that includes heart arythmias, insominia, hyperactivtiy, hair loss, muscle weakness and a whole lot of other junk. In addition, malabsorbtion of nutriets like Calcium (and your body can only live so long without Calcium). 

For treatment, Mitzi needs to fly to the UK to see an EDS specialist and go through a course of treatment. The cost of that treatment is $7,000.
