Mitch Bates may be known as The Beard to His Washington Capitals family, but he is known as a good man who would do anything for anyone one to his friends, fiancé and young son. Mitch was doing a favor for his HOA, removing a large dead tree when it fell wrong, crushing him underneath. Mitch suffered a crushed pelvis, four leg breaks and a severed urethra, and is looking at a long painful recovery after several surgeries. He is Unleashing the Healing, but insurance isn’t taking care of everything and since he was volunteering his time will not be covered for all the time he will miss at work.
