Philippines missionary trip

During the trip, I will get to serve thousands as a member of the Embrace & Reach, International Basketball Team.
As a member of the Mission Project Team, I will do the following:
*Play nine (9) games against various opponents in different regions of the country
*Reach out to thousands of Filipino Natives with a message of LOVE & SUPPORT, for the survivors of Hurricanes, Volcanic Eruptions, Floods, and Typhoons, which have hit the islands in the past years
*Assist in a number of free Sports Clinics for kids who live in these depressed areas on the island
*Serve as an Inspirational Speaker for the Campus Ministry Team which goes to Elementary, Middle, and High Schools, to share a strong word of encouragement
*Have the opportunity to work alongside doctors, dentists, teachers, singers, performing artists, also on the trip serving in various capacities
Each player is responsible for raising the funds for the trip. The total cost for each of the members of the Mission Team is $3,000.
-$1500 due by March 31, 2018
-$1500 due by May 31, 2018
This amount covers any and all potential expenses during our stay:
- International Airlines Tickets
- Domestic Airlines Tickets
-Local Transportation (Buses)
- Hotel Accommodations
- Meals (3 per day)
- Local Fees & Taxes
Background about Me:
Basketball has been a foundation for my life. The game has guided me and given me direction for my education choices. Some of my closest friendships and bonds have come through the game. I have been blessed with opportunities to play college basketball at San Diego Christian College, Foothill JC and now I am finally in my last year of college basketball at UC Berkeley where I will be graduating and getting my degree in May.
In my life I have learned that it is not about the destination but the journey. I have been blessed to have had the desire to play basketball and it has opened up countless opportunities and has led me to achieve my goal of playing division 1 basketball. I know God has had his fingerprints all over my life and has taught me a lot through the ups and downs. After I graduate I would like to serve and give back through the game I love so much.
When I was offered the opportunity to play the game I love while sharing God's word...it was a no brainer!
Please help me achieve my dream and reach another step in my path. I really need your help and every little bit will help.
