Mission Expenses Pastor Jason Brock 2020-21

UPDATE:  I have closed this GFM and am creating a new one for 2022.  Thank you to all who have supported and encouraged me!

I am Pastor Jason Brock and after serving as a United Methodist pastor in middle Tennessee for 20 years, I am now a volunteer with ACD Guatemala, a community-based outreach ministry in partnership with Franklin 1st UMC in Franklin, TN, as well as, other Guatemalan and international partners.  My role is "Missions and International Connections" where I work to support medical, educational, and construction projects, as well as, connect with potential international volunteer teams and partners.  I am also volunteering with the Methodist Church in Guatemala on opening a clinic and development of a trade school.

I arrived in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala in July of 2019.  Besides COVID, it has been difficult adjusting to a new life in a new culture.  However, I've been able to share in some miraculous moments of community, learning, service, and love, as well.  While I made an initial commitment of 2 years, with the delay of the pandemic, I will probably be staying on until June of 2022 or 2023 at the least.

Below you will see the basic expenses for which I am asking support for in 2021.  I am grateful for gifts of any size, one-time or ongoing.  I offer the deepest thanks and joy for all who journey with me through their prayers, gifts, and moral support!  Bendiciones!  (Blessings!)

What GFM donations will support:  housing, utilities, food, vehicle fuel/maintenance/taxes/insurance, basic health insurance, safety deposit box, 2 yearly visits to U.S. donors, and ministry supplies.
