Missing Mom: a Tribute to Cherry
Donation protected
To everyone who may not have yet heard the news, our dear, sweet mother passed away Saturday morning, April 6, 2019, in her sleep. My brothers, dad, and I were all with her before she passed, but she asked us to step out of the room because she wanted to rest. Within a few , short minutes, she passed peacefully in her sleep. We didn't think it would happen so soon. She was truly blessed with a painless death on her own terms. Although she must have known her gallbladder cancer had finally spread after her valiant three and a half year battle, she didn't want to return to the hospital. She chose instead to remain close to Dad. That morning, they held hands, and repeatedly told one another how much they loved each other.
Funeral plans are still being arranged, and any updates regarding locations and times will be posted here. I have already had numerous phone calls, texts, and messages from people asking how they could help. So, here it is: as most of you know, Mom has bravely and intently battled cancer over the past few years. The financial strain on my parents must have been far greater than we ever knew. Anything they may have once had saved for funeral expenses is gone. Funeral expenses have created a huge, urgent financial burden upon my Dad, who as many of you know, is fighting his own battle with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
It is the hope of my brothers and I that we can all do something to help out. If you would like to donate, please click on the donate button and donate whatever you can. If you are not able to donate, don't forget that you can still leave messages and comments for my brothers and I to see. Also, make sure that you follow this page so that you receive any updates regarding the funeral. Let's give my sweet Mom (Cherry) the honor and send-off she so richly deserves. Thank you and may God bless you.
