My name is Sara Gaver and I am a Senior Healthcare Recruiter and Entrepreneur in Jacksonville, Florida, and I am so excited and grateful to represent my hometown as Miss Jacksonville USA in the Miss Florida USA pageant!
The Executive State Directors, the Chrisley Family, will conduct the Sunshine State’s oldest and most celebrated Competition this coming January 2020 to qualify two young ladies to advance to either Miss Teen USA or Miss USA and ultimately Miss Universe. The State Competition will be held in The City of Coral Springs, at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts January 16th-19th.
The Miss Universe Organization uses its global grassroots reach to empower women to be self-confident and strive to be their personal best. MUO believes that every woman should be “Confidently Beautiful.” The MISS UNIVERSE®, MISS USA®, and MISS TEEN USA® events provide an international platform through dedicated partnerships with charities, sponsors, and brands around the world.
I was diagnosed with Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita at birth. I use a power wheelchair for mobility, but definitely do not let my physical disability stop me. I have always believed my purpose in life is to break down barriers and show this world that ANYTHING is possible. As Miss Jacksonville USA, I am continuing my advocacy efforts to bridge the gap between those in and out of the disability community as well as empowering individuals to see their full potential through building Self Confidence and believing all things are possible no matter the obstacle. If crowned Miss Florida USA 2020, I hope to expand my non-profit organization, WheelLifeConnections, which is dedicated to doing just that and SO MUCH MORE.
Everyone wants to grow up and be like someone famous...What happens when everyone wants to grow up and be like you?
There wasn't a famous role model that looked like me as a child. I felt like I didn't fit in. I didn't imagine growing up "just like her." This opportunity has the power to change that!
