Miriam Black's Journey to Health

Miriam recently found out that she has cancer of the bile duct after several trips to her local  hospital for various troubling medical concerns. After being hospitalized  for elevated liver enzymes and concerns that she may be experiencing gallbladder problems Miriam was told of her cancer diagnosis. Miriam has been going to chemotherapy as scheduled, maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle, and resting when caring for her two children allows. Since her diagnosis Miriam has had to take leave from her full-time employment and focus on her recovery. Some days Miriam only has the energy to get dressed to walk her son to the bus stop. Since her diagnosis in August Miriam has already faced medical expenses such as an over $3,000.00 bill for genetic testing that she recently found out her insurance would not cover. Although we are hoping that expenses like this are an isolated incident and not a reoccurring theme we would like to be prepared to  assist her with whatever financial obligations treatment may incur. We have hopes of raising enough money  to alleviate any financial burdens that may come her way. Miriam is an amazing mother, daughter, sister, partner, cousin, and friend to  so many!
