Miranda Werre’s battle with Stage 3 Breast Cancer

This is Miranda. She has stage 3 Breast Cancer.  She is 39 years old and works full time in accounting.

Miranda lost her father to cancer in 2018. A yearlater, on what would have been her father’s 60thbirthday, she had her one and only child! A boy, little Teo, with her boyfriend of 20+ years...also Matteo.

This year, she has discovered she has Breast Cancer. While still breast feeding this sweet little boy, she noticed a lump. Her first thoughts were that it may be from breast feeding. However, after a conversation with her neighbor, she went and got checked. This neighbor was an older man, and without Miranda saying a word about the lumpshe found, told her he had lost his daughter to Breast Cancer at 36 years old. His daughter left behind 2 young sons. This obviously hit home reallyhard with Miranda. She got checked and now we realize, this was a life saving conversation!

She just completed her second round of chemotherapy. Her treatment makes her nauseous, fatigued, makes her bones hurt, causes dry mouth and changes her taste. And yes she has lost her hair. All while continuing to work full time and raise her son.

Her spirits are high and her outlook is nothing but positive!!
