Miranda & Shane's miracle fund

Shane and I have been married and trying to start a family for 6 years now. The road to fertility is a tough road that many couples experience. It’s a road that has been filled with hope, sorrow, frustration, and anxiety. A couple of years ago we sought the guidance of a fertility specialist. We pursued this journey as far as we could financially, on our own.

We are here today, asking our family and friends for donations to pick back up on this journey and try for IVF. As most of you know, this is a very expense procedure and does not guarantee a child in the end. We have prayed on this and believe that we must at least try to continue down this path. Every woman deserves to be a mother and I believe that I would make a great mom with your help! Thank you!

Update 10/7/17:
We've been asked to give a little more information about ourselves so here we go...
Shane works for a big "vitamin store" (not sure if we can say the name of the company on here) and enjoys martial arts. Shane also is a big part at the dance studio from moving props to dancing in routines that calls for a big strong man. ;)
I'm a Dance Teacher and Studio Co-Owner. I love me job! I get to work with the best group of young dancers everyday. They trust and believe in me just as much as I trust and believe in them.
I also suffer from a Chiari Malformation and underwent Brain Decompression Surgery in March 2013. That was a long, difficult road of suffering and recovery. I am blessed to say that the surgery was a success and my symptoms from the Chiari have subsided. Amen!

After recovery was complete, Shane and I began our journey to fertitlity with the help of an OBGYN. It was after several rounds of Clomid that brought on feelings of doubt, uncertainty, and defeat that we discovered another hurdle we would have to jump. During a routine women's exam my Doctor felt 3 nuddles in my neck. After a neck ultrasound and painful neddle biopsies the diagnosis of Thyroid Cancer was confirmed. Cancer... such a scary word. So, on my 33rd birthday in 2014 I had a total thyroidectomy. Recovery from this was nothing compared to recovery from brain surgery. I was back at work in less than 2 weeks.

With this hurdle completely cleared, Shane and I just knew that we would be able to conceive. We even went to a fertility specialist in Raleigh and had two IUIs with no successs. We exhausted our funds, our minds, our bodies and our faith was wavering. We just had to take a break.

Well, it's 2 years later and it feels like this is our time to give it all we can. There is nothing we want more than to start a family and with your donations and prayers we beleive we can.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story! God Bless!
