Miracle's for Marley

Marley is our little miracle. She was born 4 weeks early in 2011 so that she could have her first brain surgery placement of a shunt for her hydrocephalus (water on the brain) that was found when I was 19 weeks pregnant. I have been fighting for her since her diagnosis and as her biggest advocate I will not stop as long as I can breathe. She is the toughest person I know and has made it through a total of 8 brain surgeries, ear surgery, eye surgery, and now has developed epilepsy. Thus her and I have spend a significant amount of time in a hospital as well as on the road traveling as her care is in Gainsville at Shands. Prior to her birth I did as much research as I could to find out how I could best help Marley. I was able to give Marley a better fighting chance by giving her stem cell infusions. She is now two and has come so far but her epilepsy is making her progress very hard. Unfortunately her seizures do not always stop within the few minutes we would like them too despite her medication. It is imperative to seek medical attention immediately in order to preserve her development. Again, I have done so much research to see what it is I can do to help which is what lead to me finding the Smart Monitor. With this watch we would be alerted upon seizure and be able to begin intervention sooner and help prevent further damage to her brain. In addition, I hope that one day, it wont be right away, it will give me peace of mind to sleep at night as now I wake every hour to check on her. For me, it is the scariest thing in the world to not know if she is seizing and I so badly want to do EVERYTHING in my power to help my little girl. Unfortunately insurance does not cover this watch nor the multiple 10 hour road trips which include gas, rental cars, food, lodging, etc we have had for her care. SO I am asking for your help. Not only to help Marley but to help me. So many people take for granted a healthy child and a healthy nights rest. I so long for the days when I can rest peacefully again and moreover when they find a cure, without the terrible side effect I witness, for epilepsy. Until then, this watch would improve our lives so much!
