Miracles For The Merzs'

I would like to share a story very dear to my heart. With permission from my family I am starting this page for my 5 year old niece, Mylie Jo and her family. On January 16th, 2018, Mylie was taken to Stormont Vail Hospital for an appointment by her parents, Kyle and Ali Merz. Mylie had a lump on the side of her head that was drawing concern, and needed to be examined. Mylie had an x-ray done that day, and the results came back abnormal. The doctor then requested a CT Scan to be done due to the abnormality. Mylie the brave girl she is, had her CT done on January 18th. The results of her CT were absolutely devastating to her parents and loved ones, as test results showed that she had a cyst on her brain. On January 23rd, Kyle and Ali took Mylie to Childrens Mercy Hospital in KC, where they met with a Neurologist and a NeuroSurgeon. The doctors confirmed that Mylie did in fact have an Arachnoid Cyst that is covering one fourth of her brain, and that surgery as soon as possible would be necessary. Doctors at Childrens Mercy have set a February date for Mylie to undergo her procedure.

Mylie is the sweetest, most loving little girl you will ever meet. Mylie is so full of energy and life. She loves to dance, sing, draw, make her famous signs and post them all over the house, play with her handsome little brother, Linkyn, go to school, and giving the BEST HUGS EVER is her speciality!  Mylie has faced many milestones in her young little life, including: being born a premie, being diagnosed as Type 1 Diabetic in 2017, and now a cyst on her brain that requires a surgical procedure. Let me tell ya, this girl is a fighter, and is stronger than she even knows.

Mylie’s parents Kyle and Ali are not ones to ever ask for help. They have fought multiple battles in their years of marriage together, and continue to keep pressing forward. Their determination, their faith, and their love for their children and family, shines through and through.

The funds that are raised will be going directly to Kyle, Ali, Mylie, and Linkyn. These funds will help with Medical Bills, Travel Expenses, and Continued Care.

As Kyle and Ali have been, and will continue to be right by Mylie’s side, this means time away from work.  Please join me in helping to alleviate some of the financial burden for this amazing family.
