Hello. I don’t know what to do or where to start. I’m desperate for a miracle to help save my baby. She suddenly had what appeared to be a seizure yesterday. Took her to the vet and based on description doctor agreed, drew blood, and sent her home. She was walking and acting normal so it was to make sure she was ok. Within the next few hours she stopped being able to stand as her legs got stiff and she was trembling. We rushed her to the ER and as of now she is still there. We had to borrow $2000 just to be able to leave her there for them to treat her. Today after X-rays and bloodwork no answers and she’s still the same; aware and alert but stiff legs and unable to stand. They think it might be neurological but we literally can’t afford the money approx. additional $6000 for the neurologist and MRI. This means if they can’t somehow help her and if there is no miracle...we will be forced to let her go so she won’t suffer. We can’t give up yet without giving her ever my chance possible. She’s only 2.5 years old and full of life. She’s my sassy girl and my heart is broken. We rescued her 2 years ago from someone that intended to do backyard breeding. Until yesterday morning she was healthy and happy. She’s my world and my ray of sunshine. I am so desperate to save her. Please if anyone can help?
I promise if I would sell one of my organs to save her and I wouldn’t even hesitate.
I was already denied for care credit and scratchpad because of loss of income and low credit score from old debt after back to back layoffs and now with pandemic its worse.
The vet at the pet icu just called me and they need more X-rays to rule out any neck issues. But they are still leaning more to neurological issue and recommend that as the next step, however we are out of financial options.
