8 months ago our dear friend Diane Eisenhour, began seeking help for relentless pain in her middle back. Her primary care provider was careless and dismissive and sent her to ungodly amounts of “back” treatments, but failed to take a look through imaging to see what what could be causing her pain. Even when she began to lose a significant amount of weight (40 lbs) from vomiting up everything she ate, he insisted it was because she was taking too many over the counter meds!! Fast forward to 3 weeks ago, when she finally decided to go to a different doctor in hopes someone would have mercy and help her. After hearing her story, the new doc did an immediate MRI. Tragically, we got the results, and were given the shocking and heartbreaking diagnosis: “inoperable pancreatic cancer, stage 4 with distant metastasis”. Diane was failed horribly by her doctor, and faced with being told the worst, “there’s nothing we can do”, she decided to seek alternative cancer treatment in Tijuana Mexico. She has been there 3 days now, and although she is being wonderfully cared for, her insurance doesn’t work there, and she has run out of money for treatment. Please help us in trying to save her life!!
Diane has a very full life, and otherwise is an extremely active, strong, and healthy woman. She cares for her 10 acres, her horses, two dogs, and kitties all on her own. She even cuts, chops, and stacks her own 7 cords of firewood herself, every fall! She has two grown children, Cassie and Kyle, who lost their father too early in their late teens, and we CANNOT standby and do nothing, while yet another tragedy tries to take their mom too! Diane is also blessed the most beautiful and sweet granddaughter Evelyn, who is pictured with her above, saying goodbye at the airport, as she left to fly off for the fight of her life. Her kiddos and ALL of her friends and family love her so much, and cannot stand to lose this sweet soul over one doctor’s BIG screwup! So we have to do whatever we can to help her fight against this terrible disease that should’ve been caught WAY sooner.
