So it turns out our Subaru needs a $1,600 repair ASAP to become road-worthy again. This one, on top of the $2,500 we've put into a series of other repairs in the last two months, is just more than we can afford. Between getting our son to daycare everyday and projects that increasingly have us hauling heavy equipment all around town, getting around by bike/bus/car-share isn't an option for us anymore. Many generous friends have already offered to chip in, but we're not comfortable taking money from others without giving something in return.

So what do you do when life hands you a bunch of lemons? You clean up the old 1976 Minnie Winnie RV and rent it out to your friends! Help us raise money for our blown head gasket and score a couple of summer nights in a classic recreational vehicle, delivered to your metro area location of choice! The Minnie Winnie is perfect for a weekend camp-ground get-away, great for the in-laws on their next visit, or even a writing/thinking/making retreat in your own backyard.



A few logistics: Think of it like a rustic cabin with a few bonus ammenities: if you plug it in, it has electricity, a refrigerator, an air-conditioner and a TV/DVD player. Comes with a hand-picked library of DVDs and Minnesota-themed books. Fire pit and wood included if desired. Cozily sleeps up to 6, bedding included. Our insurance won't let you drive it, so choose your location carefully! We'll be in touch with you (first come first serve) to book your nights. If you have any special requests, just let us know! We love the Minnie Winnie and want to make your experience in it as awesome as possible.
