Minitch Family Lose Home to Caldor Fire

My name is Dave King and I started this Go Fund Me for my sister and her family after the complete loss of their home from the Caldor Fire in CA.

I have never know anyone that lost everything in a disaster or fire until Tuesday the 17th of August. My sister Hannah, her husband Buck and their 2 girls lost their home in Grizzly Flats, Ca from the fast moving Caldor Fire in the Eldorado National Forest. With the evacuation order coming late Monday evening they were able to make it down the mountain with only hours to spare. I received a heartbreaking text on Tuesday morning that simply stated, "My house is gone, Buck sent me the picture. Nothing is left."

My brother-in-law works for Pioneer Fire and was on the front lines of the fire when their house was consumed. Had he been home and able to have extra time to pack essential items he would have been able to save his truck, tools and so many other belongings. I am grateful to him as I am sure many others are for putting others safety and well being above his possessions. My sister and their girls were able to get out that night with some clothes, pets and critical documents.  Due to the  demands for Buck's firefighting duties, they have not yet been able to process this disaster as family so we are hoping and praying for his safety and containment of this fire.

We are trying to help them with essential items to include; clothes, food, school and household items while they are displaced from their home. All procedes will go directly to the Minitch family to aid in their recovery.
