Lisa's Mini Rally for breast cancer

I'm Raising money for Breast cancer I have become part of a team of 15 women who are driving 6 Mini's from Cornwall to Kefalonia in Greece, we are going in May 2020, all of the 15 ladies taking part have been affected by Breast Cancer in some way, so we want to raise awareness of this awful illness,  we want to make sure we reach people in remote areas, we also want to raise vital funds for the Mermaid Centre in Cornwall, where we have been treated. My Story, In October 2018 just a month before my 50th birthday, I was diagnosed with stage 2 Breast Cancer, it came as a big shock as my only symptom was a pain in my breast, I was fortunate that I found it early, 10 weeks after diagnosis on December 10th, I had to have a mastectomy and reconstruction surgery, which of course is life changing, in April I started radiotherapy, and for the next 5 years I will be on tablets, The treatment I received from the Mermaid Centre in Truro hospital was amazing, so when I had the chance to do something to raise much needed money for the Mermaid Centre I signed up. We are driving 6 Mini's from the Mermaid Centre in Truro to Kefalonia, this is 2051 miles, we will be doing this challenge in 6 days, so it will be long days behind the wheel, one of the ladies who is the brains behind this Rally Liz lives half the year in Kefalonia, Liz wanted to also raise awareness to people in Kefalonia as it seems to be an illness that is not talked about over there,  we hope to be able to raise awareness throughout the whole trip, our minis will all be wrapped with signage from sponsors we will also have the wording raising awareness for breast cancer in 4 languages,  We have already raised some money by doing a calendar last year which has raise a good amount for the mermaid centre but now we want to push as hard as we can and raise as much money as possible we know that so many people are affected by Cancer and a lot of money is raised for Cancer care but we are raising money that will stay here in Cornwall. I have paid my own entrance fee,  if anyone feels they would like to donate to this and help us make a difference it would be appreciated so much many thanks for taking the time to read my story.
