Mini Cooper Early Debut

This Story was written in the sands of time by the Ancient One.

One of a man who led a life as a warrior, lived through the tragedy of betrayal, and he had a faint whisper on his heart to know what it is to be loved.  A love that would transcend time.

One of a woman who chased after God, led a life seeking her beloved as she traveled across the great Ocean. Never knowing if she would find love this side of Heaven.

The path unbeknowest to them would eventually join them hand in hand where one of the greatest and purest magics on Earth would flame to life. A heart's cry from them both would be answered.

A baby.  A baby would be born to this family.

Mini Cooper would one day be a part of the great story!

August 5th was the projected medical entry date! Mini Coop Debuted Early! July 13th!

1 week before the safe zone! 2 weeks and 4 days before mommy anticipated him. She knew he was going to be early, but I do not believe she was expecting this early!

And with comes their story.  The story of the 3 of them...

My water broke late Wednesday night. After a hard labor, Mini Cooper was born early the following morning. He came out in respiratory distress due to being stuck in the birthing canal for an extended period of time. Our little warrior was rushed to the NICU for intervention.

They tried a V-pap but it wasn't quite enough so they switched to intubators. After about twelve hours of being intubated, they eased him back to the V-pap and proceeded to wean him off those shortly thereafter.

They had him on a 48 hour regiment of antibiotics as a precaution, since early water breaking is a common sign of infection. All tests came back negative.

He does have slightly elevated bilirubin, due to bruising on the head. They currently him on an phototherapy.

Since he was born early, they are primarily concerned with him having proper strength: strength to suckle rigorously enough for the milk to let down, strength to stay awake long enough to nurse, strength to keep his airway open, etc. He has had a number of 'events' where his heart rate and oxygen levels have dropped suddenly. In most cases, he is able to pull himself out of it; but there have been a few times when he needed to be roused or to have his position changed.

They have not yet given us a discharge date as of yet. We could be here for two more days or seven. It all depends upon his progress.

And with this comes the naming ceremony today!  Four days in the hospital and Mini Cooper has been officially introduced to the world:
Paladin Jason Amra Cooper aka Dragon Slayer!

Aaron and Ariel do not know what the future holds for them. They are trusting in the ancient one, loving each other, and relying on those that God leads toward them.

This is where we get to step in and help them!

The Cooper family lives in a tiny home.    Ariel has been saving for a new car for over a year.  Working a full time job to meet this need.  She is almost there!  She needs help getting over that last little hurtle.

Aaron just finished some major repairs on his truck - and has spent almost a month building a shed so they can have room in their home for their precious little lion cub!

And the biggest one of all... They are in the NICU!  This is going to cost a pretty penny.   Paladin has been in full hospital care for 5 days already with an unknown release date.

Aaron is working and providing for his family and preparing the home, finishing the shed... yet, they are sleep deprived, caught unawares, and are in need of help!

There are two ways you can help, and both are vital!

Financial donations and freezer meals (I have the list of allergies that need to be avoided)!!!

This family needs help! They are two of the most loving, thoughtful, caring people I know!

Let’s get Paladin Jason Amra Cooper a warm welcome!
