Sophia Minervino's Road to Recovery

This is our sweet and wonderful Sophia. Getting ready to finish up her senior year at GVSU, life threw her a curveball. Late on August 1 she was in a major car accident that had her airlifted to Spectrum Hospital. The Doctors did an amazing job saving her life but her injuries are severe and her road to recovery will take many months ahead.  Sophia is slowly regaining consciousness and we are taking each day as it comes. Meanwhile the family is more or less living at the hospital, spending every minute at her side.

As the initial shock of the accident subsides they are hit with the reality that life doesn't just stop because of it. Bills and mortgages needs to get paid, food needs to be put on the table yet Sophia needs her parents by her side.  

This fundraiser was set up to help reduce the financial stress on the family, so that they can focus only on Sophia's recovery and not worry about the rest. While it is really hard to predict what kind of financial help they will need in the coming year, our hope is that not only do we meet the goal we set...but that we blow it out of the water!
