Mind Games - O2 The Dance Company

We are O2 the Dance Company, an Alberta based not for profit contemporary posse uniting to create art through our movement. Let’s real talk. We really are a group...actually truly a family, of 13 artists who inspire each other, as humans and artists. Surrounded by love and support we continue to learn about, challenge and push ourselves to face fears in life, in studio and on stage. Our current creation brings another immersive experiences, featuring the music of Banks, entitled…Mind Games. (Pause for effect)

Not only are we inspiring each other, many of the cast members are heavily involved within the dance community and are guiding the future generations of O2ers in the studio. We are so appreciative of the Calgary dance community with all they have mentored, taught, sponsored and the encouragement they have given.

We are so grateful for the support from our families, friends and fellow cowtownians. Here’s the part where you come in… (drumroll) Putting a show on costs money… more than you realize. More than we ever really realize (yes this is our 7th show and yet we are always still shocked). At the end of the day this is a passion project for us. The hundreds of hours we each put in are all given freely and with love. There is still a price tag at the end of the day. Money raised goes towards the inevitable theatre costs, technician costs, costumes, props and all the operating costs of an organization. Every little bit is sooooo appreciated and counts.

We are extremely proud to create in a country that celebrates its' arts and culture organizations. Proudly Canadian.
