Hi Everyone!!
My friends and I are putting together a show to explore the hearts and minds of cultures around the world. We plan on starting in Sao Paulo this coming January.
The show will focus on the daily lives of everyday people and how culture, community, diet and lifestyle play a role in their mental and physical health and well being. This will not be a typical travel show that leaves you salivating over delicious “food porn” cinematography or the glitz and glamour of the luxurious.
Each episode will cover a different city/region of the world and introduce that specific location’s unique methods that promote or affect health in one's mind, body, and soul. In return we will be sharing some methods learned along the way. This would encompass everything from food to exercise to meditation to spirituality.
We could use your help funding the project while we are in Brazil for 3 weeks shooting the pilot episode, as we will be trying to shoot fast and as natural as possible in the environment in that brief time. The funds will help cover our housing costs as well as gear, insurance, safety, and transportation. Our hope is to use this pilot episode as a pitch for a recurring series.
In Brazil we plan to explore how the community keeps themselves active both mentally and physically, whether through food or in a favela, dancing samba or playing soccer. We will be visiting such locations as Parque do Ibirapuera, Mercado Municipal, Benedito Calixto, and Minhocao among many others. Discovering and sharing how people seek happiness and health in their daily lives is our goal here!
