Mimi Kennell

Last May, Mimi Kennell, our friend and colleague, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. The family decided in July for her to go to her home in Taiwan to receive treatments and stay with her mom and two sisters. Since then, Mimi’s cancer has spread, and in their efforts to stop it from spreading, her doctors have tried several different treatments that have not yet been successful. She is receiving around-the-clock care with her family at her side.
Mimi is a devoted employee at USTA Hawaii Pacific, where she has been the Director of Junior Tennis for 16 years. She has touched the hearts of many future tennis stars in Hawaii and has impacted Hawaii’s Junior development program. Her husband, Sheldon, is the Tennis Director at the Oahu Club and her son, Jaden, is a freshman at Kaiser High School.
The diagnosis has been a tremendous mental and financial strain on Sheldon, Jaden and Mimi’s family in Taiwan. The medical bills are now over $100,000.00

At a time like this, we all feel helpless, and friends have been asking what they can do to help. We have set a donation goal and hope to exceed the amount with your help.

The family will greatly appreciate anything you can donate at this difficult time.
