Milwaukee Public School Teacher Unlawful Arrest

June 1, 2021 MILWAUKEE PUBLIC SCHOOLS SYSTEMIC DISCRIMINATION: Actively employed MPS Teacher, Shawnda Bailey, had the police called on her for peacefully waiting outside MPS headquarters (5225 W. Vliet) for her paycheck after having unlawful wage deductions and compensation concerns arise. MPS then called the Milwaukee Police Department, reported her as trespassing, and had her arrested to cover their discrimination, corruption and incompetence. The police used excessive force during the arrest and she had to be transported to the hospital via ambulance, shackled to the hospital bed, then transported to the County Jail for 2 days!!! The arrest was unwarranted, there was no probable cause, and she was released with no charges after being held captive in the jail for 2 days! Ms. Bailey has been very vocal in advocating for the cultivation of urban public education in Milwaukee! She shares her concerns about inequities she see in our schools, especially when providing services to students with special need! Due to her advocacy and being a transparent voice for the students and families, she has been discriminated against! Ms. Bailey needs assistance with retaining for a civil rights attorney!
