Milican April
Donation protected
Wednesday afternoon, April refused to eat her grain and instead, wandered out and began rolling. Noell brought her up and gave her some Banamine to help with the pain and began walking her. By 7 pm, when nothing seemed to be helping April, Noell knew she needed more support. The vet was called and the news wasn't good: April had impaction colic. The vet advised that she be transported to the hospital immediately to see if the impaction could be resolved. In addition to the emergency vet visit, the Devenny's will be paying more than $2500 per day for April's care.
Some background: Noell's childhood family lived in Milican, breeding, training and riding appaloosas on the local endurance circut. In 1992, Noell's mom was lost in a tragic accident. The last of the legacy that was left to Noell was Milican April. This is beyond a heart horse for Noell. This pair shares a special bond.
