Miles Minnich Cancer Fund

In June 2016, our dad, Miles Minnich went to the hospital with extreme back pain. By the end of his visit, he was diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer - stage 4. It was a complete shock to our entire family. After the initial diagnosis and realization of the severity, we all knew he had a fight ahead of him. He accepted the challenge and continues to fight every day. A year of radiation treatments, rounds of chemotherapy, and the seemingly unending amount of prescriptions have taken their toll physically, mentally, and now, inevitably, financially. Even with his continued determination to fight this disease, it is still fighting back and has spread.

Because of the symptoms of this disease, as well as the side effects of the treatments, he is not able to work. Thankfully, with the assistance of disability insurance and Medicare, our mom and dad have been able to balance things up to this point.

Unfortunately, due to the high costs of medication and the multiple trips a week to Indianapolis added to the cost of daily living, the cancer has not just caused a physical crisis, but a financial crisis.

We are so thankful for all the help and support they have already received! Many more have asked how they can help, so it is with a great deal of thought and prayer that we have created this GoFundMe page. Your donations will help alleviate some of the mental and financial burden so that our dad can strictly worry about fighting the cancer, instead of how to pay for his medicine. We are blessed to have the friends and family in our lives to support us through this tough time.
